The first official training sessions for the Eure!Car Certified Master Class programme have taken place at the brand new Grup Eina International Technical Training Centre in Swords. The day and a half session saw 12 technicians from the Dublin area complete their first practical training module and receive their official Eure!Car certification.

Eure!Car training is based on actual vehicles which have been specially adapted to simulate common technical problems that garages encounter. The first of the sessions was based on a Peugeot 308 which has a diesel engine common to many other models. After a brief classroom introduction the technicians attending were soon being encouraged to get hands on with the vehicle in the specially constructed training workshop. They were shown how to diagnose, trace and resolve several common vehicles issues, in some cases using their own diagnostic equipment.

Dani Orta of Grup Eina International Ireland said that the feedback from the technicians was extremely positive. He says, "Those attending the programmes are asked for their comments on all aspects of the training, such as content, delivery and practical relevance to their business. In all categories the scores from the technicians were very high with everyone saying the programme was very worthwhile.” He adds, "Many also commented on how much they actually enjoyed the training, especially getting the opportunity to interact with other technicians.”

The Eure!Car training is being run Grup Eina International which is a very successful European automotive training and technical information service provider. The company works closely with partners J&S Automotive and many motor factors from around Ireland to provide the training. This will also take place in many regional venues over the coming months.  The objective of the programme is to give independent garages the confidence, knowledge and access to information which will allow them to fix any car, no matter how advanced. In particular training is designed to give technicians methodical and logical methods to solve technical issues more efficiently without the trial and error of unnecessary and expensive parts replacement.

All of the technicians attending the initial session received a comprehensive course workbook, including full wiring diagrams and details of the technical support line, staffed by training technicians who have full access to all vehicle manufacturer repair and service data, as well as a huge database of technical issues.
