A US recovery man is facing up to the prospect losing his licence and his livelihood after a night out he will want to forget.

Tommy Ryser of Blaine in Washington State, is alleged to have first crashed his pick-up truck into to a pole, while driving under the influence and a short time later crashed his wife’s car into a rail.

But rather than stopping and facing the consequences, Ryser decided it would be a good idea to go home, collect his tow truck and try to recover the crashed vehicles. Police arrested him as he attempted to recover his wife’s car and he now faces three counts of driving while intoxicated.
