Spies Hecker, one of the global refinish brands of Axalta Coating Systems, has won the Repairers’ Choice Award for most highly-rated paint brand of the year 2016 – 2017 in UK.  The honour was announced at the ABP (Auto Body Professionals) Night of Knights annual awards ceremony.

In this the eighth year of the awards, a record number of repairers across voted, with repairers asked to rate the brands from excellent to very poor. Seventy-eight percent of Spies Hecker’s ratings were either excellent or very good, clinching them the title. The field was open to any paint brand, and four brands, including Spies Hecker, were shortlisted.

Anthony Cashel, Marketing Manager for Axalta accepted the award, which was presented by Jo Salter, the Royal Air Force’s first female fighter pilot, and Kevern Thompson, UK Operations Manager, CAPS. Anthony commented, “This is a great honour because it was the repairers themselves who voted for us. I would like to thank them, as well as all of our industry partners who help us deliver this brand’s outstanding products and services to refinishers around the UK and Ireland.”

ABP, founded in 2004, has a membership of over 2,500 bodyshop professionals, insurers, accident managers, suppliers and trade bodies.
