Somora opens up agri oil opportunities with Fanfaro

Fanfaro oils have made a big impression in the Irish aftermarket since they were introduced to the Somora range earlier in the year. A combination of good quality lubricant, distinctive packaging and highly competitive pricing, has proved a hit with factors, garages and motorists and the brand is now well established right across the country.

In addition to its automotive range, Fanfaro also provides business opportunities across several other key markets and one of these which is of special interest at this time of year is the agricultural sector. Somora Sales Manager Stephen Lawless says, "Fanfaro features an excellent range of agri oils for both engines and gearboxes. These offer the same quality and value combination that the Fanfaro automotive range provides and can also deliver the type of lubrication performance required for tractors and heavy duty agricultural machinery.”

Stephen says that these oils meet many manufacturer specifications, including, John Deere, Ford, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Caterpillar and many more. For example, Fanfaro Multi UTTO WB 101 is an extra high performance multipurpose tractor lubricant engineered to meet transmission and hydraulic fluid requirements. It optimises the performance of agricultural and commercial tractors by combining selected base oils and an advanced additive package to deliver the varied lubricant performance properties required in heavy duty agri applications. Fanfaro say it is particularly well suited for reducing wet brake and Power Take-Off chatter.

Also in the range is Fanfaro Multifarm STOU 10W30 and 10W40, multi-purpose oils for turbo and non turbo machinery and FF TO-4 Powertrain Oils for use in transmissions, final drives, hydraulic, brake and other oil-cooled systems.

Stephen says that one of the big attractions of stocking Fanfaro agri oils is the potential for volume sales, especially as farms enter their busiest working period. He comments, "An oil change on certain agricultural machinery can be anything from 25 litres up and the frequency of change is measured in hours of operation rather than thousands of Kilometres. It means that motor factors can get into a big area of business potential with a compact range of products that complement the existing Fanfaro automotive range and also has various other applications in machinery and construction equipment.
