While the main health and safety focus has been on the Coronavirus pandemic recently, Soltec is urging bodyshops not to drop their guard when it comes to environmental and recycling regulations. Inspectors are still operative and non-compliant bodyshop can face fixed penalty notices (on-the-spot fines) of up to €1000 issued by local authorities under Decorative Paints Regulations (S.I. no. 564 of 2012).

Soltec also stresses that to operate legally a body repair workshop must apply for and periodically renew a certificated of compliance.

To assist with this sometimes daunting and time consuming process, Soltec can use its waste management and compliance expertise to make the process as smooth and simple as possible for workshops nationwide. The long established Irish company offers a range of services including pre-audit inspections, training and record keeping to make the compliance process straightforward. The Soltec team can also provide ongoing practical waste management services and advice that not only keep a bodyshop compliant, but can also save money.

Soltec also supplies safety spill kits, barrel bunds and a full range of efficient and economical gun wash cleaners. These cleaners can dramatically cut waste and create a cleaner and safer working environment.
