Repak ELT launches Black Box reporting

Repak ELT, the not for profit organisation that manages the single waste compliance scheme for end of life tyres in Ireland has introduced a newly high security reporting mechanism.

Quarter one 2016 reporting for Repak ELT Members will be open from Monday 11th April to Monday 25th April in a new state of the art black box.

Members will receive an email outlining how to request their unique user name and ten character password. They can then log onto the separate members reporting portal and set up their unique pin number.  This member generated pin number, when used with the unique user name and password, will give the member access to their own account only, including current and previous reports.

Repak ELT operates secure encryption and handling procedures for all data submitted in tyre reports. The system is fully electronic and is dedicated solely to tyre data.  It includes best in class Cisco firewalls and a fully operational black box with up to 256-bit encryption.
Repak ELT’s black box uses the same high level security framework of software, developed and implemented in electronic reporting and encryption in the banking industry. The web portal will be issued with Symantec PRO SSL certificates, which support 3 encryption algorithms, RSA, DSA, and ECC. The pro certs also give full business authentication which verifies business identity and domain ownership.

Repak ELT also uses Outpost 24’s SWAT system across its web infrastructure. The Secure Web Application Tactics (SWAT) is the most accurate vulnerability management solution for web applications available in the market.

All reports submitted for the November/December 2015 period have been handled in the strictest of confidence and are held in an encrypted security system, with data submitted by paper, email or as scanned copies being destroyed after 90 days.  All security systems in Repak ELT also undergo independent auditing from international security experts.
