Peugeot 208 R2 driver and reigning class 6 National Irish Rally Champion, Andrew Slattery, is aiming to be right at the heart of the action on this weekend’s Laois Rallysport Club Heartlands Mini Stages Rally.

The Puckane Peugeot dealer is looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of his 208 for his first rally in a few months.

Speaking ahead of this weekend Andrew said; “I’m really looking forward to the Heartlands Rally this weekend and getting back behind the wheel of my Peugeot 208 R2. It will be my first rally since Birr over 3 months ago. Dan and the team have done a great job preparing the car and the short, sharp competitor friendly feel to the rally meant it was one I really couldn’t miss. It will help me get match fit for my home event, the Stonethrowers Rally, later in the summer. Stephen Wright brought his Peugeot 208 R2 to 6th overall on this rally year showing just how competitive an R2 can be on a rally like this.”

The rally begins on Sunday morning with the first cars leaving rally headquarters at O’Loughlin’s Hotel, Main Street, Port Laoise at 9.50am before the crews tackle 2 stages done 3 times throughout the day. As ever, Andrew would like to thank all of his sponsors and partners including Finol, Slatterys Garage and Peugeot Ireland.
