The Eure!Car programme continues to offer independent garages access to information, training and support that can equip them to work successfully on some of the most popular new technology vehicles on our roads.

Operated by AD J&S Automotive in conjunction with motor factor partners across Ireland, the programme has already boosted the knowledge and skills of many hundreds of technicians, giving them the confidence to tackle ever more complex jobs and open up increased business opportunities.

Included in this latest addition of Autobiz, is a special fold-out on some of the latest Eure!Car training programmes and activities. The fold-out highlights the Hyundai ix35 model, a car that has become hugely popular on Irish roads. It details engine management and emission system sensors and components for this vehicle, which are all available from local motor factors in OE quality, at prices that represent much better value than dealer sourced parts. These are just a few examples of how this easy availability and competitive pricing means independent garages can tackle engine and emission system repairs and offer customers  better value and convenience.

There are also details of the latest Eure!Car Training course based around the ix35. This uses a specially adapted vehicle that can simulate common system faults, to provide technicians with improved knowledge and practical skills on this popular car. The course, which will be held in regional locations and is open to all, also provides a good understanding of emission and engine management systems and provides a broad understanding of the principals involved that can be applied to many other vehicles for effective diagnosis and repair. Content covered includes, EGR valves and coolers, standard DPF’s, Cerine based DPF’s, the use of AdBlue or SCR, catalytic converters and more.

The fold-out also provides details of some of the latest product innovations available from local motor factors to support garages. These include the latest range of Philips professional workshop lamps and the Beta professional hand tools range, which is rapidly growing in popularity with workshop users.

To combat the growing issue of faulty or clogged DPFs, two effective solutions are on offer. By using the JLM DPF cleaning system many blocked DPFs can be cleaned, revived and given a new lease of life. For more serious faults and blockages, where a replacement is required, a range Bosal Dura replacement DPFs are available, offering OE quality DPF replacements at competitive prices.
