The Philips brand continues to add to its extensive range of workshop lighting with the latest addition being the Philips CBH52 LED under-bonnet light bar.
The CBH 52 is the evolution of the popular CBH 51 and while looking similar the new light has many upgraded features. It has a sturdy aluminium frame and a bar of LED lights and can twist and extend at both ends. This means that it can cater for vehicle bonnets between 1.10 and 2.08 meters, making it suitable for cars, vans and trucks. The light module also slides so that it can be positioned directly over where the light is needed.
The CBH 52 is equipped with 32 high quality Lumileds Luxeon LED lights, which provide a bright white light of up to 5800K. It has three different operating levels, 500 lumens in Eco Mode, moving up to 1200 lumens at its most powerful setting. The lamp also offers a very wide 120-degree beam angle and, with its 360degree rotation.
The new CBH 52 offers excellent durability and is resistant to oil, grease and dust, is splash-proof to IP54 standards and, with its tough aluminium frame, boasts IK07 impact resistance.
The unit also offers excellent flexibility with the ability to run as a mains powered light, or to run cordless as a battery powered light, which is then charged from the mains electricity. Its hybrid charging gives the light a working time of up to 5 hours on a single charge.
Richard Armstrong from Lumileds, who are the global licensees of Philips Automotive Lighting products said, “The CBH 52 is a really excellent piece of kit. It performs really well and benefits from incorporating the results of all the feedback we have had from our previous under-bonnet lamps. It is tough and incredibly flexible, making it suitable for any vehicle workshops and, indeed, many other applications.”
