NGK Spark Plugs has helped a North Wales garage owner to create a 700bhp Nissan Skyline R33 GTR supercar.

Tim Barks of Modern Vehicle Services is a Japanese and import tuning specialist and his innovative supercar was a star at the recent Autosport International Show at Birmingham’s NEC. The car took many thousands of man hours to construct and is capable of well over 200 mph.

The MVS Skyline has a steel space frame with a flat aluminium floor and is powered by a 2771cc Nissan six-cylinder RB26 engine. It features double wishbone suspension with push rod operated in-board coil over shock absorbers.

Regarding plug choice, Tim says, “I only use NGK spark plugs when I work on the high performance cars that come into my workshop. They are the only plug that can deal with the cold-start and high-end temperatures associated with these types of vehicles. I also run a general garage business here and always fit NGK spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK Lambda sensors in our day-to-day work. I wouldn’t use anything else.”
