AkzoNobel Sikkens has launched its next generation coloured primer system, Colorbuild Plus. The multifunctional VOC compliant priming system, can be used for both sanding and non-sanding applications, meaning you only need one system for any type of repair. Colorbuild Plus can also be applied directly to metal, plastics and OEM e-coated panels, saving the bodyshop both time and materials.

The primer is available in six colors to provide a close match for any car body colour. This makes the primer easier to cover and consequently reduces topcoat consumption and process times. Any subsequent stone chips are also less visible, improving customer satisfaction.

Sikkens say that Colorbuild Plus is also very easy to use with excellent flow and better overspray absorption. With its high build, the product requires only one coat and improves fill of scratches, minimising reworks. Colorbuild Plus is also easy and quick to sand and has a rapid flash-off time and fast drying, to keeps cycle times to a minimum.
