FÁS has announced a temporary Redundant Apprentice Placement Scheme, which will make a contribution to the cost of employing an apprentice and thus allow them to complete their qualification.

The scheme covers motor mechanics, heavy vehicle mechanics, agricultural mechanics, vehicle body repairers and construction plant fitters. Subject to meeting eligibility criteria, FAS will make a weekly €250 contribution to the cost of employing an apprentice, over a maximum of 26 weeks. The scheme finishes at the end of the year and more information can be obtained by contacting your local FÁS Services to Business Office.
