The Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship has been boosted by the announcement of important sponsors and high profile competitors ahead of the opening round at the Mid Wales Stages on March 3rd.

Joining headline sponsor of the competition Mintex will be Sherwood Engines, parts distributor CES UK,  Minilite Wheels, Martin Jones Transmissions, insurance specialist REIS, West Wales Rally Spares and Brian James Trailers. These companies will provide BHRC registered crews with season-long assistance in the form of discounted access to their products and services.

The opening round of competition will be based in Newtown, Powys, on Sunday March 3rd and lining up to take their place on the exciting stages will be multiple BHRC champions David Stokes and Irishman Dessie Nutt. The two drivers are series stalwarts, with David driving his Category Two (1968-75 cars) Ford Escort Mk1 to three wins, including back-to-back titles in 2010 and 2011, while Dessie has won two BHRC titles in 2003 and 2007 using a Category One (pre-1968) Porsche 911.

Full details of the championship, including regulations and registration forms, are available on the Historic Rally Car Register’s website at www.hrcr.co.uk.
