MG celebrate massive growth in sales

Just two and a half years since MG in its new guise launched in Ireland, in the middle of a pandemic without a single dealer able to open their doors they are buoyed up by their latest sales results.

MG registered 725 cars in July alone, boosting year-to-date sales to 1,243 cars and securing the position as the fifth-highest selling electric car manufacturer in Ireland for 2023. The MG4 EV is also the best-selling electric car of July.

This achievement has solidified MG's position as a serious player in Ireland's electric vehicle market, as its market share in the electric car segment has reached an impressive 6.2%.

For the month of July, the MG4 EV has secured the position as the top-selling new electric car. Since its launch last year, the multi-award-winning model has proven a popular choice among customers, with over 800 units delivered this year.

"We had high aspirations for the 232 plate this year and we are absolutely delighted with the remarkable success we have achieved” said Andrew Johnson at MG Motor Ireland. “To be positioned as one of the top five EV brands in the country in just two and a half years is a remarkable accomplishment, reflecting the exceptional quality and excellent value for money provided by our range.”
