With a track record of success stretching back 52 years, Electro Maintenance has always been strongly associated with leading suppliers in its specialist fields of rotating electrics, lighting and batteries.

Today the company has assembled a portfolio of quality brands, which includes renowned names such as Bosch, Mitsubishi, Denso, Magneti Marelli, Letrika, Cargo, Prestolite and LED.

However, as with any successful company, quality product is only part of the story and it is the expertise and support of the staff team at Electro Maintenance that has always also been key to the company’s development. Now leading the team is Managing Director, David Sanfey, with Frank Sanfey having recently handed over the reins, but still providing experience, drive and vision for the operation. David explains that technical expertise is becoming even more vital as vehicle technology develops. He says, “Our technical and customer service staff all have great product knowledge and experience in dealing with the specialist components we supply. This means they can always assist customers with correct product identification which can save huge amounts of time and money.”

David points out that with new technology it has become absolutely essential to replace electrical components like for like and even a very slight discrepancy will cause serious issues. He comments, “A good example is that especially with six speed gearboxes you will sometimes find that a wrongly sourced alternator will fit on a vehicle, but it will not work because the ECU does not recognise it.”

Such mistakes can be very expensive and tie consuming, meaning delays and dissatisfied customers. However, the team at Electro Maintenance can help avoid these issues, by using their expertise and experience and knowing the right questions to ask to ensure the customer receives the correct component.

The problem of incorrect product identification is made worse for garages because with many electrical components, product returns will not be possible once packaging is opened. David says that to avoid this, his team goes to great lengths to make sure components are supplied right first time, every time.

A highly effective nationwide next day delivery system, plus full technical back up is provided by a team headed by Technical Manager Steven Bolger. On the road Ken Sanfey (Sales Director) and Fintan Reilly can provide the latest product information plus a merchandising service and stock options on site. The close knit team is completed by Suzanne and Anne in the office, who deal with account enquires and react to client enquiries quickly and efficiently.

David says, “Our business continues to grow based on the principles of quality OE product and good customer service provided by the team. We plan to make further additions to our product range in 2014 with a new beacon range arriving in January. We will also continue to provide the kind of vital support essential to our customers as they cope with rapidly developing vehicle technology.”
