More details have now been released about the latest round of the MechanExpert Technical Roadshows taking in October in the North West of Ireland.

The dates and specially selected workshop venues are:

  • 10th October, 6-10pm North West Regional College, 44 Springtown Rd, Derry
  • 11th October, 6-10pm Northern Regional College, Farm Lodge Building, Ballymena
  • 12th October, 6-10pm Cavan Institute, Ballinagh Road, Cavan (former Honda/Suzuki Dealership opposite Lidl)

All of these locations offer easy access and free parking. These technical workshop venues offer more space and better facilities for technical demonstrations and allow the many suppliers attending to bring their demonstration vans into the heart of the event. This will include for the first time the Apec Braking Technical demonstrator van which provides a great showcase for the APEC range.

These evenings allow technicians to expand their knowledge and expertise of fast changing automotive technology and pick up practical diagnostic and repair hints and tips which they can apply in their workshop. The many top aftermarket suppliers attending the event provide information, displays and demonstrations with experts from each company on hand to answer any questions. There will also be a series of short informative presentations on developing technology and how to tackle certain technical and vehicle specific issues that workshops encounter on a regular basis. These will include:

  • Bosch: Changing Technologies, Iain MacLeod
  • Comma: Engine Oil : A Technical Overview, Vitor Pimenta
  • Hella Gutmann Solutions: ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist Systems) and how to prepare your business for the future of Autonomous vehicles, Martyn Shaw
  • Mann Filter: Frecious Plus Cabin Filter Technology, Damian Milling
  • Schaeffler: Mobility For Tomorrow, Andy Walters

These events are open to all and free to attend. They run from 6-10 and food and drink are provided. At each venue there will also be an earlier session for students running from 3-5.
