With the price of fuel continuing to rise, anything that can help keep fuel consumption down is most welcome to the motorist. Fuel treatments and other additives are a simple means to achieve this and are now in increasing demand as individuals and businesses look to pin back vehicle fuel expenditure.

US manufacturer Lucas Oil Products is a company with an outstanding track record in fuel and oil treatments and today offers a number of innovative and highly effective additives on the Irish Market.

Promoted as “a tune-up in a bottle”, Lucas Oils fuel treatment for petrol and diesel engines is both an upper cylinder lubricant and an injector cleaner. It is thus suitable for both fuel injected engines and engines with carburettors. Lucas Oils say that a 1 litre bottle will treat 600 litres of fuel. It provides a powerful blend of oils and additives designed to increase power and fuel efficiency and also lower exhaust emissions. It does this by cleaning and lubricating carburettors and injectors meaning fuel burns more thoroughly.

The product is solvent and alcohol free and oxygen sensor safe. Lucas Deep Clean, Fuel System Cleaner is another proven product that will lubricate and clean the entire fuel supply and increase engine power, acceleration and fuel efficiency. It is also a safe product containing no harmful substances or solvents.

Deep Clean is available in a 473ml one-shot bottle, that will treats up to 120 litres of petrol or diesel. It is especially recommended for vehicles due to undergo an NCT as it will instantly reduce emissions, particularly harmful NOx gases.

Stephen Glendinning, the Lucas Oil representative for Ireland, says, “Theses two outstanding products can have a genuine impact on fuel consumption and performance. Both products are widely distributed in the Irish market and are available at good motor factors.”
