Kroon-Oil has introduced two new specification oils in order to satisfy the lubricant needs of the latest model from the VAG Group and BMW. The two new manufacturer spec oils are Helar FE LL-04 0W-20 and Presteza LL-12 FE 0W-30.

Due to increasingly stringent emission regulations and to meet EURO6 requirements vehicle manufacturers continue to develop new generation of fuel-efficient engines, utilising advanced fuel-saving techniques. Motor oils make an essential contribution to this with car manufacturers favouring low-viscous lubricants with fuel saving properties. These thin lubricants ensures significantly less friction of moving engine parts and thus save fuel.

The VAG group and BMW have recently introduced new OEM motor oil specifications and Kroon-Oil is one of the first oil suppliers to offer products to meet this standard.

Helar FE LL-04 0W-20 is a modern, fuel-saving, fully synthetic motor oil, developed in accordance with the latest Mid SAPS technologies for use in cars with particulate filters and/or catalytic converters. It comes in all normal pack sizes including a useful 1 litre top up. It has been specially developed for the latest generation of VAG engines requiring an SAE 0W-20 motor oil compliant with VW specification 508 00/509 00. Its ultra-low viscosity achieves considerable fuel savings, while retaining maximum engine protection.

Presteza LL-12 FE 0W-30 is a modern, fuel-saving, fully synthetic motor oil, developed in accordance with the latest Mid SAPS technologies for use in cars with particulate filters and/or catalytic converters. It has been specially developed to meet BMW Longlife-12 FE specification. It is also fulfils the ACEA C2-12 specification.

These latest specification Kroon oils are distributed in Ireland by Somora and are now available from Kroon stockists.
