J&S Automotive has announced that it has entered into an agreement for the transfer of ownership of Origo Autoparts Division.

Alan Gaynor, Managing Director of J&S Automotive Distributors commented, "The transfer of the Origo Autoparts Division with its unique suite of brands and expertise combined with J&S Automotive Distributors high quality service offering in the automotive industry is an important strategic step for J&S. It further strengthens and enhances our product offering to all our current and future customers throughout the island of Ireland”.

Since opening in 1977, J&S Automotive Distributors has developed to be one of Ireland's premier vehicle component distributors for both passenger cars and trucks. The success of the company has been based on the supply of components of the highest quality and the provision of first-class up-to-the-minute product information on various platforms, including TecDoc and MAM Autonet.

From its humble origins in a small shop set up by Joe Gaynor at the Five Lamps in Dublin J&S has grown into a major distribution force throughout Ireland.  It supplies an extensive range of parts and tools and provides training to the independent aftermarket using its own fleet of vehicles.

By the end of 2019 J&S will have a workforce of nearly 200 dedicated and experienced employees, who benefit from a programme of continuous improvement through ongoing staff training across various aspects of its business. The emphasis of this training and development is on maintaining a strong customer focus, meeting goals and providing a level of service and innovation that can genuinely help a customer's business grow.

Alan Gaynor concluded, "By adding Origo Autoparts Division to J&S Automotive Distributors, in the very near future we look forward to delivering an even better range of automotive parts and services to meet customer needs on a daily basis.‘’
