The Irish Tarmac Rally Championship is in turmoil with only one round in Galway completed so far this year.

Rounds two, three and four of the eight-round championship now have already missed their scheduled dates due to the Corona virus and the resultant cancellation of motorsports events by Motorsport Ireland up to June 1.

West Cork was due to be held in March, the Circuit of Ireland at Easter and the Rally of the Lakes due on the May bank holiday weekend have all fallen in the current lockdown. Whether any of these events can be rescheduled remains to be decided at this stage.

No announcements about the Donegal International scheduled for the end of June, the Ulster Rally in August, the Cork 20 in September and the Killarney Historic Rally in November and plans to run the events are still ongoing. However, there must be some doubt about whether the Donegal International Rally will go ahead with time running out for the organisers.
