Hard work breeds success The team at Trim Motor Factors

It all began to happen in 1981 for Matt Gilsenan, when he found himself out of a job as a car salesman in Navan. There is a familiar ring to this today, and now 30 years on; Matt and his business partner Tony Grimes are celebrating their business survival.

Beginning from small premises in the town of Trim and sourcing product from various suppliers, they set about installing themselves into the locality as genuine and reliable suppliers to the motor trade.

As the years passed and business grew, they found themselves outgrowing their original small premises and moved not once (in 1990) but a second time in 2005 to Trim Retail Park, where they have further developed their business covering body replacement parts and paint refinishing systems by Max Meyer.

The range of hard parts and accessories has grown enormously at Trim Motor Factors. They take pride in their reputation that has been earned through hard work and honest effort.

Matt marvels at how they coped with the changes that have taken place from manual systems to computerised methods of running a modern business today. Matt is not shy to acknowledge the support they received from customers and suppliers alike over the past 30 years and they look forward to continued good relations while improving service levels.
