Visitors to the Gates stand at the recent Automechanika Trade Event were the first to sign up to a new Tech-tip email service from the leading manufacturer of belts and tensioners.


The new service is designed to keep garages up to date with technical news developments as they happen and is now available to all through the www.GatesTechZone.com website. The tech tip emails provides up-to-date advice about changes to installation procedures, simple errors that have led to premature component failure or tips that will help to make repair jobs quicker and easier.

GatesTechZone is a freely accessible technical resource designed to provide 24 hour support to installers around the world. It features product installation guidelines, help with basic fault diagnostics and videos. It is now available in seven different languages.

Gates also launched other initiative in Frankfurt, including, new belt kit solutions for drive system installers in the passenger car market and a new catalogue for the truck and bus sector.

Representatives from Dublin distributor Strongline Autoparts were among the visitors to the Gates stand finding out about the new technical services.
