Fleet Car magazine and Motorcheck.ie are pleased to announce that plans are well underway for the 2015 Motorcheck.ie Fleet Car Awards.

The fourth edition of the awards programme, which honours the best vehicles for fleet buyers across a range of categories, will take place at Clontarf Castle, Clontarf, Dublin, on Tuesday 21 April 2015.

Once again Fleet Car magazine, Ireland’s leading motoring publication covering the corporate/company car sector, has teamed up with motorcheck.ie, the country’s leading specialists in vehicle data and intelligence, to present the eagerly anticipated 2015 Motorcheck.ie Fleet Car Awards. Open to all relevant cars currently on sale in the fleet segment, the awards have become an important part of the Irish motoring calendar. Targeted towards identifying the best fleet cars currently on sale in their sectors, the 2015 event will see eight categories to be awarded. These include C-Segment; C-Segment Premium; D-Segment; D-Segment Premium; Crossover; Estate; Executive / Luxury and Irish Green Fleet Car.

The Irish Green Fleet Car award is new for 2015 and reflects the growing importance and relevance of electric and hybrid cars particularly for certain types of fleets.

The awards event will also feature keynote presentations on topics specifically of interest to those in the corporate/company car sector including an insight from a leading procurement buyer for a major corporate on areas such as purchasing criteria, financial implications of owning versus leasing, and the criteria involved in vehicle choice. Autobiz Motoring Correspondent, Gerry Murphy is one of the judges for this year’s awards. Judging will take place on March 9 and 10.

Speaking at the launch of the 2015 awards, Cathal Doyle, Deputy Editor Fleet Car magazine said: “The response from the industry to the Motorcheck.ie Fleet Car Awards over the past three years has been hugely positive and we’re excited that the 2015 edition will be the best to date. Today’s company car customer is more discerning and demanding than ever, and we believe it’s important to acknowledge the efforts of those car companies that are successful in this field. We’re pleased also to announce our new Irish Green Fleet Award for 2015. Responsible companies are increasingly looking at every possible way to reduce their carbon footprints, and with manufacturers making great advances in electric and hybrid technology, this is an area of ever increasing importance to the fleet buyer.”

Michael Rochford, Managing Director of Motorcheck.ie, also commented; “Our association with the Fleet Car Awards is very meaningful for us since fleet is an area where the kind of data and analytics that Motorcheck delivers has an important role to play. We are delighted to be sponsoring the awards again for the fourth year running and look forward to sharing some exciting new developments for the fleet sector at the event.”
