Automotive aftermarket parts specialist First Line Ltd. has continued to expand its electric vehicle product offering, with over 1,000 references now applied to fully electric vehicles across over 60 product lines.

Figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders earlier in 2022 in the UK revealed that electric plug-in vehicles now account for more than one in six new car registrations, while battery electric (hybrid) cars alone rise to one-in-nine, with more registered in 2021 than the previous five years combined.

Jon Roughley, Global Marketing Director at First Line said, “As the used vehicle parc expands each year, and electric vehicles are making up more of new car sales, the aftermarket should expect to see an increasing number of EVs requiring maintenance and repairs turning up at independent workshops. We recognise that the EV sector is continuing to grow rapidly despite the slowdown in new vehicle sales and the area of EVs is something aftermarket suppliers need to be ready to fully embrace.”

First Line’s total number of catalogue applications for electric vehicles now tops over 5,400, fitting over 150 different vehicles. Product groups covered include Steering and Suspension, Braking, Wheel Bearings, and Cabin Filters.

The company’s continuous research and development programmes are delivering a wider ranging product offering than ever before, with each new reference release subject to an exacting, rigorous testing process to ensure high quality.

All the company’s new-to-range products can be found in the online catalogue WebCat, allowing distributors access to the brand’s impressive portfolio of components, which can be looked-up by application or cross-reference at webcat.firstline.co.uk.
