One of the latest accident repair centres to adopt the Symach Fixline total bodyshop solution is CSN-CARS in Burlington Ontario, Canada.
Father and son team Nick and Fab Di Luca have now been running the new shop design for over a month and have been hugely impressed by the results.
Fixline is complete repair process that is revolutionising the way progressive repairs around the globe operate. CSN-CARS has followed the lead of many European shops and become the first repairer in Canada to adopt the design concept.
The system offers programmable paint curing and dries only what needs to be cured, using precision programming and robotics technology. Various stages of the repair are carried out on the Car Mover line. The system uses tracks in the floor and special rollers built by Symach to move the car from place to place.
Nick and Fab Di Luca say they are expecting a 40% increase in productivity once staff are fully acclimatised to the new systems. Nick says, "Productivity has already increased. We are getting cars in and out faster, and nobody is stressed out. It’s wonderful.” He adds, "The team from Symach did an amazing job. "They really know their business, and they work really hard. They had us up and running as quickly as possible, given how big of a change this was.”
The Fixline system uses three different repair and layout processes, based on the number of panels to be repaired. The system optimises repair times and reduces labour costs. This means the facility gets more work done in a shorter time frame.
Before making the decision to install Fixline, Fab DiLuca travelled to Italy to see the process working. He says, "I went to Italy to see it in action, and not just at their training centre. I needed to see how it worked in a busy shop, see how the cars moved, and what I saw was that it worked as flawlessly as they said it would.”
