Electronic parking brakes first appeared on the Renault Vel Satis in 2001 and have since gone on to be used by many vehicle manufacturers such as BMW, VW, Jaguar and Landrover.

They are often favoured by vehicle designers because of their ease of use and additional functions such as hill-holding and automatic brake applications.

Up until recently replacement parts for this system were only available from dealers. Leading auto electric component suppliers VEMO have now launched the parking dash switch. This is a high quality part with a tip switch control design, that provides a high level of dependability.

It is especially in demand as a replacement part for VW Passat models. Part No. to order is V10-73-0236.
