The Minster for Transport Mr. Noel Dempsey, recently opened Ireland’s largest service station at Dublin Port. The service station, which is 4 times larger than a typical Irish service station, will facilitate trucks and cars coming off ferries at Dublin Port to refuel in advance of their journeys into the country.
Last year, Dublin Port Company and Topaz Energy Ireland, signed a €7 million deal to open a European motorway style service station at the 4.5 acre site. Facilities include truck and car refuelling, wash facilities, parking facility with capacity for 43 trucks, truck drivers lounge with games room, internet access, shower facilities, forecourt shop and a full restaurant.
Dublin Port Company committed to funding the building and infrastructure costs while Topaz Energy is responsible for the operation of the complex itself.
