The Drogheda Motor Show have announced their Charity partner for the show this year – The Drogheda Special Olympics club.

The motor dealers of Drogheda have always supported local charities through the show and this year are delighted to be working with the local group as they try to raise awareness and funds for their own new clubhouse. Sean Carolan, Public Relations Officer with Drogheda Special Olympics Club said, 'We'd like to thank the organisers for this perfect opportunity to showcase our wonderful club to the people of Drogheda and the surrounding areas'.

New attractions at the show this year will include a full safety demonstration exhibition from the Fire Brigade, St. Johns Ambulance, Coastguard and the Gardai in the outdoor car park, a Vintage car show and Motor Show partners Energie Fitness will also be bringing some special events to try and raise some sponsorship for the Special Olympics team!

Jack Doran is one of the motor dealers involved and is inviting all members of the public to the show on the 7th, 8th and 9th June in Southgate Shopping centre at Colpe. “The Motor Dealers of Drogheda are delighted to bring this customer focussed show to the people of Drogheda.  Our members have always supported local groups and employ over 150 local people, so we hope that Droghedeans will support us too!”

This weekend event will showcase the 2013 new car range from eleven local franchise motor dealerships and launch the new ‘132’ number plate!  It was the 1st motor show of its type in Ireland and many towns are now copying Drogheda but the original is still the biggest and best!

Access to the event is free of charge and most of the event will be held indoors. Children are welcome and the adults can browse at their leisure throughout the various vehicle display areas and food stands.
