Night vision has come out on top as the new technology that drivers would most like to see on future cars. A website survey by MSN Cars of some 30,000 people also placed Adaptive Cruise Control as equal top of the list.
Consumers, who were asked which new generation technologies they would like to see on their next cars, came up with the following results:
- Night vision 20%
- Adaptive cruise control 20%
- Self-parking 13%
- Voice control 13%
- Internet feed 12%
- Slow speed automatic braking 10%
- Auto high beam dipper 8%
- Lane keeping assistant 4%
Tom Evans, Content Manager of MSN Cars, said: "Our poll involving a very large sample gives clear indications of the technology the bulk of potential buyers want to see in their next car." He added, "It may also indicate that car manufacturers have a challenge in educating the public in terms of the benefits that some of these new technologies can offer in terms of convenience and safety."
