Spies Hecker has made a new addition to its colour tools range with the innovative ColorDialog Delta-Scan, a next generation spectrophotometer designed to help bodyshops identify the latest effect and special colours quickly and easily.

Anthony Cashel, Marketing Manager for Axalta Coating Systems says, “Spies Hecker works closely with its bodyshops when researching and developing new products, services and support tools and the development of the new ColorDialog Delta-Scan is no exception. It is an enhanced version of the original ColorDialog, offering a host of new functions to help refinishers work more efficiently and confidently.” He adds, “One of the most important innovations is that the ColorDialog Delta-Scan can measure the effect of a colour directly on the device. Once the reading has been taken, the software selects a suitable match from the database based on the effect size. It will then choose a colour shade to match the original reading, and the formula with the highest value is shown at the top of the list. This saves the refinisher precious time searching through results himself.”

Working with the optimised CRplus colour software, ColorDialog Delta-Scan allows refinishers to select and to correct the colour on the pc’s display. The device’s virtual colour comparison shows the refinisher the target colour as well as the colour chosen from the database before and after shading. This enables the refinisher to compare the three colours directly on the screen.

Anthony  says, “The ColorDialog Delta-Scan is all about accuracy. It has an enhanced optical device, including more LEDs than the ColorDialog, and a rubber O-ring with four contact pins around the measurement aperture. This increased light power coupled with minimal reflection and improved seal on the vehicle surface aim to result in fast, accurate colour measurements, which can lead to improved colour matching accuracy.”

The new touch screen colour display makes ColorDialog Delta-Scan easy to navigate, operate and  read. The device also has a modern new design and its rubberised case makes it sturdy and easy to handle.

Special training courses are available to help bodyshops make the most of the Delta-Scan and take refinisher’s colour-matching skills to the next level. For more information visit, www.spiesheckerwebshop.co.uk.
