Engine products and drive systems supplier, Dayco, has been recognised for its outstanding quality, by global vehicle manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) for both its production part and Mopar unique part supply partnership.

The award, which specifically refers to Dayco’s San Luis Potosi facility in Mexico, has been made as a result of its excellent performance as an FCA supplier.

In a letter from Scott Thiele, head of purchasing & supply chain and Amin Alidina, head of supplier operations, FCA North America emphasised how valuable the manufacturing location was and the organisation praised the commitment and support the facility demonstrates in the pursuit of excellence and outstanding quality.

The FCA Outstanding Quality Supplier Award was for the 2018 calendar year and based on a series of demanding performance metrics, notably with reference to the company’s quality, warranty, delivery and processes, which FCA describes as an unwavering commitment to quality and passion to deliver the best products to its customers.

In response to the award, Dayco’s John Kinnick, president of Dayco’s global belt operations and interim president of Dayco’s global powertrain operations, said: “Being recognised for our achievements by FCA is a great accomplishment and I would like to thank all the hardworking Dayco associates dedicated to satisfying each customer.”
