Car-O-Liner has hosted a special training day, at its Technical Training Centre in Rugby, for the technician finalists in the Automotive Body Repair category, of the UK World Skills competition 2023.

This is the 11th consecutive year that Car-O-Liner has been a proud sponsor of the World Skills UK Training, helping to develop new industry talent and to showcase young apprentice skills on a national and international stage.

WorldSkills UK is an annual competition, described as the ‘skills Olympics’, which sees thousands of students, compete across dozens of subject specialties to find the best talent across the country and showcase the skills they have learnt during their studies. Students who succeed in the WorldSkills UK competition, can progress onto the international event, which will be hosted in Shanghai in 2026.

Car-O-liner is a key sponsor and collaborator of the completion, providing equipment, training and expertise on the very latest body repair processes and techniques.

To prepare the finalist for their skills final assessments, the Car-O-Liner training team welcomed the students to the company HQ in Warwickshire recently. Here they were given expert advice on repair processes and training on some of Car-O-Liners latest repair equipment.

The automotive body repair and refinishing competitions of Worldskills 2023 will be held at Tameside College in Manchester later in November.

You can see a video of the training day below.
