Ford is set to make a dramatic re-entry into the sporty family car sector with a new model Capri, and it seems there will not be a vinyl roof in sight. The new model will be a hatchback based on the new Ford Focus and will take on the likes of the VW Scirocco and the Renault Mégane Coupé in a sector where style is all-important.

The new model’s eye catching looks will be matched by Ford’s new turbocharged EcoBoost powerplants as well as TDCi diesel engines to offer low emissions and good fuel economy.
