Bill Cullen Motors and Renault will go the separate ways from the end of the month. The former star of reality television show 'The Apprentice', which was axed by TV3 this year will cease to be a Renault dealer in their Airside, Swords and Liffey Vally garages after a 24-year relationship.
Earlier this year Bill Cullen closed his Galway and Ennis garages and now the end has come for Airside and Liffey Valley by 'mutual consent' according to a spokesman for the Cullen Group.
Mr Cullen has insisted it was not the end for his car-selling business.
"I'm pleased to announce that my dealerships are still firmly in the motor business, in my 56th year of giving the Irish motorist the best sales and service experience in the industry," he said.
In a joint statement to Autobiz issued by Renault and Bill Cullen the slpit was confirmed: "Renault and Bill Cullen announce that the Bill Cullen Motor Group will no longer be Renault dealers from 31st August 2012 in Liffey Valley and Airside. The parties have terminated their relationship by mutual agreement. Renault will announce separately its plans to distribute Renault vehicles and parts in the areas previously serviced by the Bill Cullen Motor Group. Bill Cullen will announce separately his plans. Renault assures its loyal customers that they will be able to benefit from Renault's strong and expanding nationwide network."
