Axalta Coating Systems, the company behind the Cromax, Standox and Spies Hecker paint brands, has assisted some leading automotive artists by setting up a shop in Long Beach, California at Universal Technical Institute (UTI) for its 5th Annual Winter Panel Jam.

The event saw more than 30 notable automotive artists and pinstripers get creative with original artwork produced on car bonnets.  The creator of the winning piece, Alberto Herrera from Visalia, California, was awarded a “We Paint Winners” Radiant Red Commemorative SATAjet® 5000 B spray gun.

The artists used Axalta’s Cromax basecoats and clearcoats, and Hot Hues candy dyes and pinstripe colours to create custom art on bonnets, miniature car bodies and pedal cars.
