The Third Generation of the ŠKODA Octavia has proved immensely popular with Irish drivers since its introduction in 2013 and has consistently been in the top 10 Irish vehicle model sales table, since then. It is known for its solid build and reliability and there are now thousands of Octavia III’s that are in regular circulation with independent garages.

Despite its reputation for reliability, technicians will be aware that certain components and systems on this car can give trouble in certain instances. Parts suppliers’ febi and Blue Print has therefore highlighted parts in its range that are available for the Octavia, both in terms of regular service parts and some less common replacement components that their team has identified as being in special demand.

These include a throttle body and EGR valve with gasket, oil separator and temperature switch for the radiator fan. Also as a significant percentage of these Octavia’s have automatic transmissions, febi also offers a service kit which has been in increasing demand as older models require a transmission oil change.
