It is just six weeks until Automechanika Birmingham, the UK's leading exhibition for the automotive aftermarket. This year’s event will be 70% bigger than in 2016, hosting over 800 exhibitors and is expected to attract thousands of visitors from the Irish motor trade.

The NEC is the easiest exhibition venue in the UK for Irish visitors to access, as it is directly adjacent to Birmingham Airport and is accessible via a free monorail link. Birmingham has numerous flights to various Irish airports.

The organisers of Automechanika have issued some guide prices on flights which were correct at the time of publication.
  • Return flights from Dublin as little as €34 with Ryanair and €55 with Aer Lingus
  • Return flights from Cork: €126 with Aer Lingus
  • Return flights from Shannon: €116 with Aer Lingus
  • Return flights from Knock: €106 with Flybe
The organisers also point out that Resorts World is close to the NEC and now offers hotel accommodation, high quality bars and restaurants as well as a casino onsite. It's a great place to invite your colleagues and customers for some after show relaxation.

Good hotel deals can be accessed via normal booking sites and the official Automechanika hotel agency TSC Hotels at www.tschotels.co.uk (click on the event accommodation link and go to June.

You can also register now for the event itself at www.automechanika-birmingham.com. Arrive at the event before 10am each day and you can also claim a free hot drink and a pastry.
