A survey from insurance website Confused.com, has revealed that of all the professions and occupations, it is doctors who are the most likely drivers to make an insurance claim.

According to Confused.com figures, 33% of all GPs registered with them have made an insurance claim in the past 12 months. Other medical professionals, such as psychologists and district nurses on 30% and opticians on 27%, closely follow this.

Police officers were also found to be big in the claim game, with 26% putting in paperwork over the past year. By contrast far fewer claims came in from lower paid manual workers. The fewest claims attributed to any single profession were car valeters, with only 8% making any kind of claim in the twelve months.
