Huge time savings, greater precision and improved safety are just some of the reasons why induction heating tools are changing the way that garages and bodyshop tackle vehicle repairs. One company very much at the forefront of this change is Inductor Innovations, with its Mini-Ductor Venom heating tool.

Induction heat generates high-frequency magnetic fields that can travel through certain materials like glass, plastic or any non-metallic material. Heat is transferred to the product via electromagnetic waves and the part never comes in direct contact with any flame.

The Mini-Ductor® Venom is the third generation in the Mini-Ductor series of handheld induction heaters. Generating invisible heat, the Venom heats up ferrous metals in seconds and releases them from corrosion or thread lock compounds without the dangers caused by open flames.

This tool reduces labour times and allows the technician to save or re-use parts normally discarded in the repair process, thus reducing the need for consumables. The angled pistol-grip design, along with bendable coils, allow the user to access tight spaces where torches cannot go. The Mini-Ductor Venom can easily remove lug nuts, bearings, exhaust manifold bolts, O2 sensors, tie-rod ends, vinyl graphics and more.

The Venom offers a 220-volt circuit power line with maximum output of 1000 watts. Along with the angled design grip, the tool features a Coil Twist Lock that allows for the lock down of coils in one turn. It has an LED usage indicator light to let the user know if the tool is heating properly, as well as an LED user-controlled work light. The Venom also features fan operation enhancements and comes with a two-year warranty.

In addition to the tool, the Venom comes with a carry case and three different coils: the 7/8” pre-formed coil, the U-form coil and bearing buddy coil. All coils are flexible and can be formed for a variety of applications.
