Ring Automotive goes live with new web site

Ring Automotive has announced the launch of its new website at www.ringautomotive.co.uk.

The new site has a clean and fresh design with more intuitive navigation to improve the visitor experience. Instead of listing products in categories using product terms such as vehicle lighting, the products have been listed according to user type first, Eg Car, Commercial, Motorcycle then by the product type Eg bulb or battery care.

The products themselves have been clearly presented with more prominence given to product images and in-depth specification where required. There are also clear trade up paths and associated products, to help people make a more informed product choice.

A second stage of development will be to build a customer login section to include an image library and other useful content only available to customers. Work is also being done to translate the website into other European languages to support Ring’s growing customer base across Europe.

Marketing Director Nick Cameron explained the reason for the investment, “Our previous site had been designed as an online reference catalogue for our customers and distributors. However, in the 6 years that have passed since its launch, not only had its design become dated, we realised that our efforts to build our brand meant that we were attracting large volumes of traffic from motoring consumers and garage mechanics. Our web site needed to reflect our wider appeal. With the new web site we believe we have achieved this.”
