Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG the company behind the MEYLE brand, has renewed its technological partnership with the "tankpool24" and "CEPSA" truck racing teams and will also be supplying both crews with high-performance brake disc and pads for the coming season.

Under the MEYLE brand Wulf Gaertner Autoparts markets a comprehensive range of commercial vehicle repair solutions including parts from the steering & chassis, cooling and brakes product groups. Commercial vehicle brakes are exposed to high levels of stress in normal conditions, but this becomes exceptional on race trucks competing in professional motor sport series such as the FIA European Truck Racing Championship. These trucks need to brake sharply whenever they approach a bend, decelerating from approximately 160km/h to about 40 to 50km/h. This causes the brakes to hit extreme temperatures within seconds. "MEYLE brake discs are designed to distribute heat effectively, thereby ensuring that braking performance remains at a constant high level throughout the disc's service life", says Sven Nielsen, Technical Director at Wulf Gaertner Autoparts. "The MEYLE brake discs and pads which we supply perform reliably under the most demanding operating conditions."

As a technological partner of both racing teams Wulf Gaertner Autoparts' engineers maintain an on-going dialogue with the teams' technicians, continually scrutinising and evaluating MEYLE part performance under race conditions. The findings are fed back directly into the MEYLE brake development process emphasizing that both technology partners benefit greatly from this knowledge transfer.
