Continental offers multi V-belt kits for mild hybrids

Belt-driven starter-generators (BSG), such as the 48V Eco Drive system from Continental, achieve fuel savings of up to 15% in many modern hybrid drive systems, resulting in a corresponding cut in CO2 emissions. To ensure this continues to be the case following replacement of the belt, special belts are required that are capable of withstanding the specific operating demands of hybrid drive systems.

To meet this demand Continental have expanded its product range in this segment, meaning that it now covers virtually all relevant vehicle applications on the European market. New additions include multi V-belt kits for mild-hybrid models, identified by the label “EXTRA” in the product name.

These kits contain both the multi V-belt itself and the Omega tensioner pulleys that are customary on such drive systems, providing mechanics with everything required for carrying out repairs to hybrid vehicles with BSG systems safely and efficiently.

The full range together with useful additional information can be found in the Product Information Center (PIC) here.
