In April this year Plunket College of Further Education, in Whitehall, Dublin launched its new QQI Level 5 course for F-Gas certification. The launch event was a great success, attended by participants from all over Ireland keen to learn about safe handling and storage of refrigerant gases and the importance of F-Gas certification.

This new QQI Level 5, F-Gas certification course was developed by Plunket College in collaboration with MKW and City of Dublin Education and Training Board. The course was delivered by experienced trainers Keith Walsh and Stephen Monahan, who were also able to share their vast knowledge and expertise with the participants.

The course covered various aspects of F-Gas certification, including regulations, best practices, and safety procedures. The participants were assessed in both theory and practice, applying what they learned in real-life situations.

F-Gas certification is mandatory for any individual who wants to work with air conditioning systems that contain refrigerants. It equips participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle refrigerant safely, reduce emissions, and comply with regulations. Certification demonstrates that the individual has the necessary skills and knowledge to work with air conditioning systems that contain refrigerants, making them more employable and valuable to their organisation, it also provides participating workshops with a competitive advantage in a fast developing area.

Demand for the course is high and currently scheduled courses are fully booked. However, those interested can register their interest to guarantee a place on future courses by emailing info@plunket.cdetb.ie
