NGK-sponsored Ice Speedway World champion Daniil Ivanov has helped Russia win the 2020 FIM Ice Speedway of Nations. He was part of a Russian team that claimed gold in Berlin.

NGK Spark Plugs is a long-standing supporter of Speedway on shale and also sponsors Daniil in Ice Speedway which sees riders racing on 500cc motorcycles with spiked tyres and no brakes.

John Money, of NGK said, “Daniil is a superstar in Ice Speedway and produced another fantastic performance to help Russia win this prestigious trophy.”

Born in 1986 in Russia, Daniil began riding a motorbike at seven years old, and claimed his third Ice Speedway World title last year.
