MAHLE Aftermarket has launched REINZOSIL, its latest Victor Reinz sealant for a variety of applications.

Available in Anthracite grey in both 70 ml tubes and 200ml pressurised cans, REINZOSIL is a highly elastic, solvent-free, fast-hardening silicone sealant for sealing flat surfaces where there is a sealing gap. Suitable for continuous operation in the temperature range between -50 °C and +250 °C  and briefly up to 300 °C, it offers extremely high stability and good resistance under load, at high temperatures. Once completely bonded, REINZOSIL is virtually odourless.

The universal sealing compound is resistant to mineral oils and numerous synthetic oils, lubricants, petrol, diesel oil, greases, hot and cold water, detergents, sunlight, ozone, and sea water.

Due to its special properties, REINZOSIL can be used for all makes of light, commercial, and off-highway vehicles in a variety of applications, including engines, gaskets and cylinder liners in piston machines, as well as to compensate for extensive component warping. Moreover, the compound is also used to seal constructional fissures or cracks, and for seals that are subjected to considerable relative movement.

The compound can also be applied to assembled components. After the sealing joint has been cleaned and degreased, REINZOSIL is applied directly to the sealing gap, similar to the procedures used in the building industry.

MAHLE’s  complete range of Victor Reinz sealing products includes, head gaskets, head bolt sets, exhaust manifold gaskets, timing case gaskets, oil seals and full engine sets.
