When vehicles are doing higher mileages, or working in tough conditions, stabiliser links can be more prone to failure. To counter this, parts specialist First Line offers a range of Heavy Duty Stabiliser Links which have an enhanced specification over the original item to ensure greater longevity and superior performance.

These HD components stand out due to a higher specification DuPont Delrin plastic bearing (500p verses 100p), an increased ball pin base diameter and a larger bar diameter. Therefore, the HD range possesses a plastic bearing with a higher tensile strength and is subsequently less prone to fatigue, a ball pin with superior push and pull values and a more rigid bar.

First Line says, these enhancements come together to deliver a substantially more robust product that is of higher quality than the original equipment components, providing a service life of up to three times longer than the vehicle’s standard stabiliser link.

First Line recommends that when a replacement Stabiliser Link is needed on an application that has a higher-than-average mileage, or more arduous working environment, that the workshop considers a First Line Heavy Duty version. These are available from First Line stockists.
