The Draper Tools demonstration van paid a visit to the Tipperary area last month, with Business Development Manager Mark Smethurst, visiting garages to show some of the latest innovations in the Draper range.

 

The van is equipped with a huge range of tools and equipment, with many of the items stored in some of the very latest Draper Roller Tool Cabinets.

 

One of the newest Draper ranges to attract special interest was the 1000V Safe VDE Approved Fully Insulated Socketry range. These tools are essential for working on the fast growing number of hybrid and electric vehicles. They are tested to 1000V AC or 1500V DC for safe live working, made to DIN Standard and individually certified to EN 60900. Each tool is fully insulated to prevent accidental contact with exposed metal. There are three sets available in convenient carry cases.

 

Garage operators were also keen to find out more about the Draper range of Ultrasonic Parts Cleaners. These units are available in three sizes and use a hi-tech process called non-inertial cavitation to produce highly effective, but non-aggressive cleaning results on delicate parts such as injectors. The use of such equipment can often be a cost effective alternative to more expensive replacement.

 

Also being demonstrated on the day were Knipex Hose Clamp Pliers for Clic and Clic R Hose Clamps. These are fitted with rotating jaw inserts for secure actuation of clamps in any position and are designed for time saving even in restricted spaces on jobs such as fuel hoses, vacuum pipes, suction nozzles and a host of other applications.
