Tool specialist Beta, whose products are distributed in Ireland by J&S Automotive, says it has the perfect solution for garages and recovery services dealing with cars that won’t start in the cold winter weather.

The 1498/12 is a Portable Car Starter designed to get vehicles going again quickly and easily. Available in both 12 and 24v versions, it can deliver a powerful charge to restart cars or light commercial vehicles anywhere.

The unit features on-board storage that means that the user will not have to spend time hunting for the right cable, while a shoulder strap is also included making the unit highly portable and ready to go at a moment’s notice.

The 1498/12 can also be a very useful tool for anyone replacing car batteries.  The unit can be plugged into the onboard socket to preserve valuable information stored by onboard computers, radios, clocks, etc while the battery is disconnected.

The Beta 1498/12 car starter is available now from Beta Tools stockists.
