One of Ireland most famous dealerships is expending as ŠKODA Ireland announce that Al Hayes Motors are the newly appointed sales and aftersales dealer for ŠKODA in Co. Clare.

Al Hayes Motors have acquired a modern state-of-the-art facility on the Gort Road in Ennis, which consists of an eight car showroom and an expansive modern work shop facility. The two million euro investment will see building works commence in March with the new ŠKODA Corporate Showroom expected to be complete in May 2016.

Established as a family business in 1982 in Portumna, Co. Galway, Al Hayes Motors is renowned for quality and service in the region. With a headcount of 50 staff members, the Hayes family are heavily involved in the business. Al, together with his wife Noreen, are directors of the business with sons Niall, Derek, Damian and Alan and daughter Orla all fulfilling senior roles throughout the business.

The most familiar member of the Hayes family will no doubt be Damien Hayes. Boasting 4 All-Ireland Hurling Club medals with Portumna and three All Star Awards with Galway, Damien Hayes has been one of the most prominent Hurling GAA stars of recent years. Now retired from inter-county hurling, Damien is arguably taking on his biggest challenge in establishing Al Hayes Motors, ŠKODA in Ennis Co. Clare.

Commenting, William Lee, Dealer Development Manager, ŠKODA Ireland, said: "Co. Clare has been on our radar now for a number of years. With the establishment of Al Hayes Motors in Ennis we have a valued partner to provide quality ŠKODA vehicles, aftersales service and financial products to the people of Clare. I wish Al, Noreen and all the family the very best with their new venture. We are looking forward to ŠKODA becoming one of the top selling brands in Co. Clare over the next few years.”
