One of the most striking stands at Automechanika was the SATA spray gun stand, which was on the theme of California Dreaming, complete with surfboards and a 1960’s VW Camper Van. This theme was further reflected in the launch of a special edition of the very popular SATAjet 4000 B gun in a special Californian inspired design.

However, star of the show on the SATA stand was the brand new gun the SATAjet 5000 B.  The new gun offers great flexibility and a host of other innovations, designed to take spray technology to a new level of sophistication. The idea was to create a much more versatile spray gun in regard to inlet pressure, application distance and further improved adaptability, to the specific requirements of the different paint systems available.

Matt Stevens of SATA commented "The SATAjet 5000 B allows the painter to flexibly set the inlet pressure in a range between 0.5 and 2.4 bar and to spray with a distance between 10 to 21 cm, depending on material, ambient conditions and personal preferences, in order to achieve optimum finishes.”

The SATAjet 5000 B also offers a compact ergonomic design, easy controls quick-change cup connections for added productivity.

Alongside the 5000 B, SATA also used the show to launch the SATA air vision 5000, a new breathing protection system that consists of the air fed respirator hood air vision 5000 and a belt unit which allows the easy attachment of different add-on modules.  Painters are exposed to solvents, sanding dust and overspray and it is now recognised that they need effective protection of their respiratory tracts as well as their heads including eyes, hair and skin.

The SATA air vision 5000 is aimed to further increase the acceptance of breathing protection equipment, with a modern comfortable design that offers excellent protection. Depending on the quality of the supplied compressed air, there are two available options of air regulation units, either the SATA air regulator or the SATA air carbon regulator, which also includes an activated charcoal absorber. With the SATA air warmer and the SATA air humidifier, there are two additional optional modules, which can be also mounted on the belt to further enhance the breathing comfort for the painter.

The SATAjet 5000 B and SATA air vision 5000 are now available from SATA stockists.
